New stone updated

New stuff from Oracle has been added to the site:

Single-flared stone plugs from 10g to 1/2" in Labradorite, Opalite, Yellow Tiger's Eye, Picasso Jasper, and Goldstone. These are great for conches, labrets, nostrils, etc. where double-flares won't work, or just for those of you that are stretching or prefer single-flares for your lobes.






In the single-flare, we also picked up some opalite single-flares with heart-front flares.

We also got a handful of custom stone jewelry including some really amazing stone labrets in Mahogany Obsidian, Purple Agate, Tiger Iron, Banded Onyx, Serpentine, Labradorite, Lapis, and Ocean Jasper.

Now that the shop is back up and running and we're caught up on orders from last month's hiatus, we've had a chance to get back to something we really enjoy -- buying new jewelry!



We've got a bunch of new stone from Oracle that's in the shop now, and we'll be adding it to the webstore as well very soon. Single flared stone and opalite plugs, opalite heart-front plugs, and some assorted custom pieces including some super nice stone labrets.



Check out the store online in the next day or so as we get the new pieces photographed and listed, or if you're in the area swing by in person and see it for yourself.

Info/Update

We're back!

We've begun processing and making orders that came in while we were away, so if you ordered anything from us while we were out of town you've likely received an e-mail confirming your order at this point. For those of you that didn't notice or forgot to use the 20% off coupon while we were gone, we gave it to you anyway, so if the total you got charged for versus what's on your invoice is off that's why.

We don't have our sign up yet, so we're a little tricky to find, but that will be resolved soon. We're in the same building as Snips and Edibles in Irvington. They both face Washington street, we face away from the street. If you can't find out entrance since we don't have a sign up, feel free to stop in Snips or Edibles or give us a call and they'll point you to the right place!

If you placed an order while we were gone and have questions about its status, feel free to e-mail us or call us and we'll be glad to give you an estimate of how long it should take us to get out to you. It's looking right now like we'll be fully caught up within two weeks or less, and we'll be back to filling orders within days again.

Thanks for the patience during the move! Once things are settled down and caught up, we'll have some new stuff going up on the store, so keep a lookout for that as well.

Aesthetics' webstore will be temporarily paused starting today through the 1st of October while we are in Mexico celebrating our recent marriage!

For those of you who don't know, Aesthethetics is two people. We are the piercers, counterstaff, jewelers, order-fillers, customer support, and owners. We love keeping it that way because despite the extra work, it this means we are more closely tied to everything we do. If you e-mail us or call the shop, you're talking to one of us. If you get custom jewelry made, one of us made it. We fill your orders, track and ship your packages, etc.

The downside to this, is that on the rare occasions when we take time off, it leaves no one to do our jobs. We apologize for the inconvenience, and as a compensation, everything on the webstore from here until the 1st will be 20% off! Upon checkout, enter "Vedge" as the coupon code, and you will receive 20% off your entire order.

New orders will not be processed or shipped until the 1st. If they are for stocked jewelry, they will be shipped immediately upon our return. If orders are for custom jewelry that needs to be made, we will start making jewelry in the order that requests come in beginning on the 1st. We will do our best to get those orders completed and shipped as quickly as possible.

New jewelry, as promised!

Aesthetics' storefront is moving!

(don't worry though, we're just moving across the street!)

What this means for our local friends/clients:
We will be closing our storefront at our current (2 Johnson Ave) Saturday, August 30th to begin our move. Our new location will be a shared building here in Irvington with Snips salon and spa, and Edibles organic market. Our new address will be:

We will be taking the month of September to remodel the new location (and get married!) and will be re-opening October 1st in our new location. We're really excited about the new location, and can't wait for you all to come visit us!

What this means for our webstore/online friends/clients:
Not much, really. We'll be checking the webstore and e-mail regularly like usual during the remodel, processing orders, making jewelry, etc. so everything will stay smooth. We will, however, be on vacation for a week prior to our wedding, but we'll post more information about how that will affect ordering on the webstore when we get closer to that date.

New old stuff!

We've (re)added some new old items to our webstore for those of you who might have noticed.

For the big-lobed people: We discontinued big delrin eyelets (the 2"+ stuff) and plugs a couple months ago because working with them caused the delrin to heat which resulted in a finish that we weren't really happy with. We've found a way to solve that though by doing eyelets only, and making the walls thinner. So we now introduce big delrin (thin-walled) eyelets! Not only is it safer for us to work with and the finish better, the thinner walls make them much lighter... and they look good too!


For the big-labret people: We've also found a way to get a better finish that we're really happy with on delrin at lower speeds, so we've added black delrin as an option to our t-back labrets for those of you that aren't into the white look or just want a change of pace. The material is still too hard (unfortunately) to really do ovals without a ridiculous amount of extra work that wouldn't be justifiable, BUT, for the rounds we're happy to add black delrin as an option. Additionally, we likely won't add it as a product, but for those of you who like the look of wood in labrets but are still stretching or just don't like wearing wood in your lip for whatever reason, we can do wood inlays in PTFE or Delrin labrets for you -- just send us an e-mail and we can make that happen.
